Keeping Your Stuff Secure

As you gear up for the upcoming Golden Streets event, we want to remind you to take some extra precautions to ensure that your bike and belongings stay safe and secure. Here are a few essential tips for preventing theft at the event:
  1. Bring a bike lock: It may seem obvious, but you'd be surprised how many people forget to bring a lock. A sturdy lock, such as a U-lock or a heavy-duty chain lock, is essential for securing your bike to an immovable object like a bike rack or post.
  2. Remove all valuables from your bike: Take off any valuable items like lights or accessories that can be easily removed. This will make your bike less attractive to thieves and reduce the risk of theft.
  3. Keep your bike in sight: Whenever possible, keep your bike in your line of sight. This will deter thieves and make it harder for them to steal your bike.
  4. Use our free bike valet service: We offer secure bike valet service along the route, where you can park your bike with an attendant who will keep an eye on it while you enjoy the festivities. Take advantage of this free service and have peace of mind knowing that your bike is safe and sound.
  5. If driving by vehicle, be mindful not to leave valuables in the car: It's important to remember that theft can happen to cars as well. Don't leave valuables in your car that might attract thieves. If you must leave something valuable in your car, make sure it's out of sight and locked away.
By following these simple tips, you can help prevent theft and enjoy a worry-free ride at Golden Streets. Let's keep our bikes safe and secure!
